The results of the photography contest were finally announced in a prize presentation ceremony last Saturday which was attended by the ecstatic winners and their families .

Prizes were presented by Awg Nordin bin Ahmad, Acting Director of the Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Industry & Primary Resources.
The photography contest received overwhelming response from the public. It was organized in response to the Kenali Negara Kitani (KNK) campaign to promote Brunei's domestic tourism.
Entries were received for various categories including “people, places, outdoors, food, animals, weather in brunei, humour or abstract”. A significant amount of the entries received portrayed various scenic locations in Brunei. Many photographers submitted multiple entries, displaying their passion for photography and eye for capturing the beauty of Brunei within their lens.
The winning entries were as follows:
Grand Prize :

“The Lost Art” by Megan Porter
3 Merit Prizes :
“Harvest” by Megan Porter, “Double Happiness” by Hidayah Khairunnisa Bazilah & “Beach Hut” by Rodney Tew.
It was tough deciding on the winning entries. Clearly, both locals and expatriates living in Brunei had made immense effort to submit outstanding photographs. Their quality of composition and photos in this contest, showcase the wealth of talents as well as the country’s wondrous offerings. In time to come, we hope to organize similar contests to promote the country and share with everyone the beautiful attractions evident in the arts, culture, history and natural destinations that Brunei has to offer.
